Creative Discoveries Studio
Our Mission
Creating and engaging with art is beneficial for everyone. It lowers stress, builds confidence, and helps us connect with ourselves and those around us.
Creative Discoveries Studio is an art program serving our military community in the Jacksonville-Onslow County area.
Service members (active, veteran, reservists, guardsmen) from all military branches, their loved ones, service animals, and caregivers are welcome. The weekly open studio sessions are free and held at the Council for the Arts.
Participants can choose to bring their own creative supplies and projects to work on during the sessions or create with the supplies we have in the studio. No prior art experience, equipment, or commitment required. Each session is led by a resident artist who is there to answer questions, help locate supplies, and offer creative advice when asked.
Come any Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. and create in a relaxed, social and creative environment!
